Gene is the founder of the company which he started in 1976. His vision of landscape design is the backbone of our significantly recognizable style that continues today. Beginning as a one person operation, Gene has been the guiding force in leading our team of people along the way to build Nature’s Way into what it is today.
Shawn de la Foret
Shawn oversees the day-to-day operations as well as a designer. Growing up in the family business, designing landscapes has become a natural ability. Graduating from Michigan State University, Shawn has an extensive knowledge of plants and uncanny ability to see the landscape before it is even created.
Ryan Montgomery
Ryan is a Michigan State University grad with 2 degrees; Bachelor of Science in Horticulture and Bachelor of Landscape Architecture. Growing up on the East side of the state, Ryan has planted roots here in Saint Joseph and uses his talents to create natural spaces for our Client's homes. His amazing ability to create computer imaging aids the entire staff and offers a window into the future for our Clients to see their outdoor living space.
Dale Bishop
Dale has been with Nature’s Way Landscaping for over 3 decades. He forms the critical bridge between design and construction. Overseeing all projects, Dale has the ability to successfully implement your design, most of the time making it better with his keen on the fly problem-solving skills. Managing all of the construction team members, he rocks at identifying and utilizing each person’s strengths and abilities to help make Nature’s Way the best it can be.
Nicole Rick
Nicole also grew up in the business and assists in every aspect of the office from drawings and estimates, to providing communication between the designers and installation crews, tracking hours, and invoicing.
Laura Rosenthal
Laura is the nucleus that keeps the office organized and efficient. Working with all employees, she schedules interviews and appointments, as well as assisting the designers with reports, estimates, and contracts. Having been in this position for over 14 years, along with spending many years in the field, she has an extensive knowledge of all aspects of a landscape design/build company.
Construction & Maintenance Crews
We have 10 landscape construction crews who install and perform perennial maintenance for our Clients. The various crews are led by a landscape expert who is responsible for taking the landscape plan and bringing it to life.
