Benton Harbor, MI

The Challenge: Take a corner in the middle of a dilapidated parking lot and create a beautiful place for reflection and national pride including a World Trade Center artifact consisting of a 500 pound section of steel beam.

The Solution: As a collaborative effort of local trades people, wonderful volunteers, and the Red Cross we rose to the occasion and pulled together to create a wonderful space, with a piece of The World Trade Center as a centerpiece.

Overall Effect: A dignified public display intended to honor the incredible sacrifices of the first responders involved in the 9/11 attacks and acknowledge the resiliency of our nation, its people and collective spirit during a time in history when this country endured one of the most horrific acts of terrorism on US soil, referred to as 9/11.
